Come join us for a fun and educational day at the Tampa Bay History Center (a Smithsonian Affiliate). There are 3 floors of permanent and temporary exhibition space focusing on Florida’s history. The 90-minute docent-led tour shows a path through time, linking modern culture with cigar factories, sports legends, railroad tycoons, cattle drives, pioneers, Spanish Conquistadors and Florida’s inhabitants – 12,000 years in all!
We’ll have an early lunch at the well-known and famed Columbia Restaurant in Ybor City — the oldest restaurant in Florida, celebrating over 110 years of Spanish-Cuban inspired cuisine. You will choose from a selection of 5 entrees. This is a treat in itself!
Meet at FSW Campus Cafeteria at 9:00 a.m. and depart at 9:30 sharp! Expected return is by 5:30 p.m.
Fees include coach transportation, lunch & tip, and admission to museum.
