“Koreshan Cultural Site” by Geoffrey Wasson: Nonmembers

The Koreshan Unity is a unique late 19th century/early 20th century cultural site in SW Florida. Founded by a charismatic leader named Dr. Cyrus Teed, he and his followers created a utopian society in pioneer Florida.
Geoffrey Wasson is the Museum Curator/Park Service Specialist at Koreshan State Historic site. Originally from NE Ohio, he moved to Florida to assist in cultural resource management for the Seminole Tribe of Florida before joining the Florida Park Service in 2010. He has a B.S. in Forensic Anthropology/Archaeology and is working towards his M.S. in Ecological Restoration. He performed cultural resource management across the US for over 17 years.
