The Poetry Circle is a group which meets monthly to read and share poems. It is for people who are interested in reading poetry — not poems they have written, but poems they love and admire and which relate to a topic selected for each meeting. After the reading of each poem, the group responds briefly in an open discussion with no fixed format. There is a volunteer moderator from the group who keeps time for the meeting and ensures that all participants have a chance to read.
The Poetry Circle meets from 10:00 a.m. until noon in meeting room O-116 on the Charlotte Campus of Florida SouthWestern State College at 26300 Airport Road, Punta Gorda. There is no fee to participate but membership in FRIENDS is required. Call or send your name to the LLI office to join this group.
