"The Revolutionists" by Lauren Gunderson, Matinee Performance at the Gulfshore Playhouse Naples' Premiere Professional Theatre Wednesday, January 30, 2018
Liberte, egalite...sororite. In the chaos of the French Revolution, anything can happen...especially laughter. Against the backdrop of France's Reign of Terror, former Queen Marie Antoinette, assassin Charlotte Corday, playwright Olympe de Gouges, and spy Marianne Angelle form an unlikely alliance. Written by the most popular playwright in America, this explosive comedy puts a modern twist on history as these women fight for equality and freedom and leave an indelible mark on history in their wake. A woman's perspective, smart, funny and fits so perfectly in the moment we now live in. This matinee performance includes a pre-performance discussion with one of Naples' respected historians.

Naples Botanical Garden & Historical Tin City Tuesday, March 26, 2019 Come join LLI and experience the amazing visual wonder of the Gardens!
Our first stop will be at the historic Tin City in Naples to enjoy a delicious lunch at the Riverwalk Restaurant overlooking the Gordon River. After lunch it's time to visit Tin City which was built in the 1920's to accommodate the economic growth of Naples' fishing industry, including clam shelling, oyster processing, boat construction and maintenance. In the 1970's seven of Tin City's sturdy old buildings were renovated into a quaint shopping area of thirty unique boutiques offering a wide variety of gift items, clothing, wines, jewelry, and bakery goods. After a short bus ride to Naples Botanical Gardens you will enjoy a 90-minute guided walking tour of a tropical garden paradise. The Garden consists of 95 acres of six cultivated gardens (Kathryn's Garden, Irma's Garden, Brazilian Garden, Caribbean Garden, Florida Garden and Asian Garden) with more than 300 species of exotic plant life. The Preserve has 90 acres of preservation land with seven ecosystems including mangroves, marshes and untouched forests and the home to hundreds of animal species, a profusion of native plants and over 150 bird species.
